Comments about life and stay at GIKI

At the end of my four year stay here, I find myself a much better human being than ever before. It is mainly attributable to the painstaking efforts of all my teachers and the all out support and cooperation of all my friends over the years. I discovered so many facets of my personality during this period. In the beginning I was just a student. And now I am a debator, an actor, a drama writer, a poet and obviously a much better and learned student as well.

There are so many things associated with this place that I would always enjoy and remember. One such thing here is that many people take me for a pathan though I always negate it. One of the local bank officials was so adamant about it that even I started beleiving that he was right and started learning pushto language. I wish there were more pathan students in my batch so that I could learn this language easily... anyway. The teacher-student relationship at GIKI is something I had never experienced before. The teachers are just like friends who are all the time eager to help you out.

I would never forget so many trips to cafe after lectures, sipping tea, chatting and giggling with so many of my friends. And worth mentioning are the visits to campus hotel even after midnight as a respite and temporary escape from the hectic and demanding work load.

The drama we did here was a wonderful experience. The way I wrote it over night and then all of us prepared it within a week's time was hell of an adventure. And extremely thrilling was our hiking trip over the wall of Tarbela dam.

In short I had the most productive and memorable part of my life at GIKI. Whereever I go and whatever I do the sweet memories of the time I spent here will always accompany me.

Future Plans

I intend to have a career mainly in engineering practice and research.

What people think about you

My Hero!!! But only in the play ;). It was really fun to work with him in our play, Offstage & on stage, when he remembered all the dialogues and I didn't. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN FUTURE. (saima q)

Genius, would be the word I would want to use for him. Has a nice way of explaining to you. Always appreciates a good joke. (Obaid Habib)

Wamiq is a hard working person and a nice guy. We were together during our internship in "Comcept". We did the work together during that internship. We used to go and come together on the motorbike. That is unforgetable moment of my life. His dream of 4.0 GPA at last came true in sixth semester.I wish him the best of luck for his future and his studies abroad. (lamaks)

Hero of our drama who memorized the dialogue of heroin too :). An intelligent person who really talks with some weight. He is an intellectual. GOOD LUCK! (fawad uz zaman)

He has a lot of good qualities: hardworking, talented, intelligent, wise and handsome....He was the hero (Rahel) of our drama. Has done a lot in extra-curricular activities. He will InshaAllah be a successful man. Lots of prayers for him! (FMK)

A smart guy. I always enjoy his instantaneous remarks. Very hardworking. Knows what to speak and when to speak. Unfortunately a bit selfish at times, but his next remark makes me forget everything. Keep on going and keep smiling. Wish you best of luck. (Dr. Bonz)

Aik bohat aacha insan jis ki apni soach bihat mudabirana hai. A decent man. Wish u all the best. (rao)

I will always pray for your Azra. (puri)
